Will Witherspoon now a Titan

With the lack of the resigning of players in free agency the Titans have picked up a new player who looks to be pretty good. David Thornton is thinking about retirement and no word that is positive about Keith Bulluck's return to the Titans, the Titans have signed a new outside or inside linebacker in Will Witherspoon. This is the fourth different team for the eight year veteran. He was drafted by the Panthers in 2002 where he spent four seasons and then to the Rams, he was with the Rams until a mid-season trade to the Eagles last season. Witherspoon has said that the release from Philidelphia was a surprise but he is excited to be playing for the Titans. Witherspoon has signed a three-year deal worth $11 million and $3 million guaranteed. His best season stats were in 2007 with the St. Louis Rams, he totaled 132 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, and ten passes defensedhttp://titansradio.com/Article.asp?id=1726935&spid=27572. His career stats are consisted of, 743 tackles(612 solo, 131 assisted), 20 sackes, 8 forced fumbles, and 9 interceptions.http://espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=3601
